Google Search Blocked in Schools PDST Filtering
Recent changes by PDST.ie in the Irish schools internet access has caused some issues for school staff and students.
The original changes were created a few months ago by the PDST (formally NCTE) to help increase the filtering process within the schools broadband networks. Schools were apparently notified who this would affect their usage. But the weekend of 8th June 2014, Google changed algorithims in the Search Settings which meant the previous settings by PDST were outdated and did not work.
